L. Lloyd Masters

L. Lloyd Masters, age 86, of Corbin passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was a son of the late Lawrence and Ollie Riggs Masters. Two brothers, Charles Masters and Luther Masters, and a sister, Etta Pearson, also preceded him in death.
Lloyd was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and member of 17th Street Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gladys Oaks Masters; four children: Debbie Hammond and husband David, Connie Click and husband Mark Durbin, John Masters, and Donna Lacey and husband Steve; eight grandchildren: Stephanie Smith, James Smith and wife Danielle, Will Click and wife Diana, Jake Click and wife Katie, Brian Durbin and wife Andrea, Jessica Durbin, Brian Lacey, and Emily Lacey; five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Marie Thomas and Katherine Hill; several nieces and nephews, and a cousin Marion Parkey who was a dear friend.
Lloyd's visitation will begin at 10 am Tuesday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral will follow at noon, with Brother Andrew Darden officiating. Burial will be at Worley Cemetery.
