Larry Brockman, 75, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Baptist Health Lexington.
Larry was born in Lexington. He had worked as a locomotive operator for Arch Mineral, and was a longtime member of West Corbin Baptist Church where he loved to spend time in fellowship. He loved sports, especially UK sports, and liked to swap and trade treasurers that he found.
He was preceded in death by his sons Ronald Lee Brockman and Jeff Taylor, and his parents Harry Lee Brockman and Alice Gregg Hasty and her husband Eulis.
Larry is survived by his wife Deloris Brockman; son Keith Brockman (Dawn); daughter Crystal Blankenship (Corey); grandchildren Holly Taylor, Tiffani Taylor Johnson (David), Makaela Faulkner, Haley Taylor, Macy Laine Brockman, Dylan Taylor, Wyatt Brockman, Chase Blankenship and Alyssa Blankenship; great-granddaughter Chloe Johnson; siblings Harry Brockman (Phyllis), Jan Combs (James), Lewis McClain (Phyllis); several nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends; and his beloved pet Roscoe.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 21, at West Corbin Baptist Church with Rev. Albert Jones officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers will be Austin Bargo, Jason Curry, Paul Barton, Jerry Court, Tim Pennington, and Glen Thompkinson.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Saturday at West Corbin Baptist Church, 200 Walden Rd., Corbin.
