Lawrence Timothy Collins

Lawrence Timothy Collins, 64, of Cumberland Falls Hwy. in Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Mann, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Lawrence Freelin Collins and Goldie Mae Whitlock Collins. He was a member of the Corbin Church of the Nazarene and was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Grant Collins; three infant children, Eric Wayne and Larry Gene; and Kathy Ann.
He is survived by his wife Norma Jean Greer Collins; three children, Rebecca Sue Fryman and husband Shirley, Pamela Kaye Sawyers and husband Bill, and Richard Thomas Collins; 12 grandchildren, Heather, Daniel, Jessica, Michael, John, Nicholas, Katelyn, Becca, Jordan, Robert, Tiffany and Cindy; seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Zechariah, Heaven, John, Hayley, Ryan and Riley; three brothers, Tom Collins and wife Sally, Robert Collins and wife Toni and Mark Collins and wife Marquetta; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.
Services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, May 24, at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Lonnie Storms officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1pm Saturday at the church.
The Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
