Leamon Jones

Leamon Jones, age 85, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Whitley County, Kentucky, he was a son to the late Willie Jones and Lottie Mae Romines Jones. Leamon was a member of Winds of Pentecost in Corbin, Cherry Avenue, Pastor Gilbert Valentine. He enjoyed farming and was a loving husband and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Joyce Martin Jones, a brother, Frank Jones, and three sisters, Pauline Monhollen, Rosie Cox, and Willie Elizabeth Goodin.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Valentine Jones, and by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will begin at 1pm on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the funeral home with Rev. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will follow at McFarland Cemetery in West Corbin.
