Lena Lowe, 72, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, Aug. 27, 2007 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
Lena was born in Campbellsville, Tennessee and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Laura Perkins; her husband, Clyde Lowe; three children, Lonnie Lowe, Judy Gudich and Lindsay Gail Lowe; three brothers, Donald, J.H., and Carroll Perkins; and grandchildren, Christopher Stanley and Wendell Lowe.
She is survived by eight children: David Lowe of Corbin, Kathy Lowe of Michigan, Wendell Lowe of Michigan, Martha Wilson, Doris Ridener, Jerry Lowe, Vickie Fullmer and Lisa Lawson, all of Corbin; 34 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Arnold Perkins of Michigan, Leon Perkins of Harlan, Dallas Perkins of Somerset, and Randall Perkins of Tennessee; two sisters, Joyce Bishop of Tennessee and Freda Perkins of Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends, including Wendell Stanley and Samantha Deal, all who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Field officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
