Lenvil Partin, 95, of Richmond and formerly of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 in Richmond at the home of his son Bob Partin.
Born March 4, 1911 in Knox County, he was the son of the late Abijah and Lucinda Parker Partin. He was a farmer and spent his life in the Lynn Camp Community of Corbin. He was a sixty-five year member of the Lynn Camp Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Edith Hood Partin; four brothers, Dewey, Eddie, Charlie and Leslie Partin; and two sisters, Delia Norvell and Martha Mahan.
He is surived by two sons, Bob R. (Theda) Partin of Richmond, KY and Herbert Gene (Mary Lou) Partin of Loveland, Ohio; three grandchildren, Dena (C.W.) Bartlett of Franklin, Tennessee, Janell Adams of Lancaster, Kentucky and Amy (Freddie) Miller of Weston, Florida; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister Mima Bentley of Norwood, Ohio and brother Luster (Athena) Partin of Corbin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, July 14, 2006 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Carl McCray officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynn Camp Cemetery.
Pallbearers will granddaughters, great-grandsons Christopher Adams and Jason Bartlett, and close friends Gary Henson and Leslie Campbell.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
