Leo Hensley, Sr.

Leo Hensley, Sr., of Corbin, husband of the late Sally Holmes Hensley, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Hence Hensley and Nora Farley Hensley of Benham, Kentucky. Formerly of Benham, he was a 32nd Degree Mason, Lodge #880, a member for 57 years. He was a member of the Royal Arch Benham Chapter #170.
He is survived by his children: Brenda Hensley Potter & husband Lee of New Palestine, Indiana, Priscilla (Pat) Hensley Weddle & husband Lloyd of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Leonda Hensley Baldridge of Fishers, Indiana, Leo Hensley, Jr. & wife Sheila of Corbin, Nedra Hensley O'Roark & husband Pat of Fishersville, Kentucky, Rev. Charles Hensley & wife Cindy of Benham, and Ronald Hensley and wife Janie of Corbin. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. He was the eldest of 16 brothers and sisters, of those surviving are: Jimmy Dale Hensley, Ray Hensley, Jerry Hensley, Mike Hensley, Won Edith Gilliam, Pauline Nunn, Helen Fallon, Angeline Barton, and Caroline Noe. Brothers and sisters that preceded him in death are H. C. Hensley, Jr., Cyril Hensley, Theodore Hensley, Loetta Hensley, Olean Hensley and Ella Annett Hensley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Michael Lee and Rev. Freddie A. Terry officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
Masonic services will be conducted at 7 pm Monday at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 Monday at the funeral home.
