Lida Bingham Hicks, 83, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Knox County, she was the daughter of the late Bowman and Martha Hubbard Bingham. She was a homemaker and a member of the Everlasting Grace Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hicks; granddaughter, Kaylee Sheyenne Young; brother, Hubob Bingham; two sisters, Clara Gray and Eva Wheat.
She is survived by ten children, Harold Hicks and wife Linda of Corbin, Costello Hicks and wife Daisy of London, Betty Gray and husband Theron of Corbin, Leona Paul and husband Ronnie of Corbin, Brenda Cox of Corbin, Clyde Hicks and wife Debbie of Corbin, Shirley Hicks of Corbin, Opal Garrison of Corbin, Arlene Young and husband Jimmy of Corbin and Shanna Kirk and husband Kelly of Sullivan, Indiana; brother, Costello Bingham and wife Eunice of Corbin; sister, Gracie Davis and husband Dewey of Jellico; sister-in-law, Opal Brock of Portland, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Edward Bruner of Girdler; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, November 13, 2009, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Hicks Cemetery in Knox County.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday, Nov. 12, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
