Lilburn Ray Veach

Lilburn "Ray" Veach, 71, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Born in Jellico, KY, he was the son of the late Jermie and Lucy Morgan Veach. He was a civil engineer for the Kentucky Department of Highways, and was a member and board member of the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department for more than 35 years. He was also a member of the Frankfort Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Veach.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Veach; daughter Laura Brock and husband Corbett of Corbin; son Brian Ray Veach and wife Samantha of Corbin; grandchildren: Logan Gilbert of Edgewater, FL, Caleb Hester and Hunter Ray Veach of Corbin, Ethan Marlow and wife Amber of Kansas, and Blake Marlow of Corbin; great-granddaughter Skarlet Marlow of Kansas; sister Sherry Veach and husband John Volpe of Frankfort; brothers J.C. Veach and wife Frances, Wayne Veach and wife Joan, and Joe Veach and wife of Linda of Corbin; special cousin Lois Morgan of Corbin; and a host of family and friends, including his church family at Frankfort Baptist Church to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 11 A.M. on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. James Hodge officiating. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
