Linnie Wyatt Elliott

April 11, 1922 — October 10, 2006

Linnie Wyatt Elliott, 84, of Gray, went home to meet her Lord Tuesday, October 10, 2006.
Born in Clay County on April 11, 1922 to John and Sylvia Cobb Wyatt, she united in marriage with Jakie Elliott Jr. on June 13, 1938. She was a homemaker and Pentecostal by faith.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jakie Elliott Jr.; two sons, Ronald Lee Elliott and Leonard Wayne Elliott; two brothers, Lonnie (Booge) Wyatt and Kenneth Wyatt; a sister, Bernice Wyatt; and one son-in-law Charlie Mills.
She is survived by two daughters Louise Terrell and husband Joe of Woodbine and Judy Mills of Gray; and one daughter-in-law Ruby (Campbell) Elliott of Corbin; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters, Charlene Wilburn, Eula Decker, Joyce Copley, Opal Medlin and husband Rev. Claude Medlin and Kotha Wood; one sister-in-law Opal (Williams) Wyatt, all of Gray; two brothers Sandlin Wyatt and wife Audelle of Gray and William Wyatt and wife Verl of Corbin. Also surviving are special friends Michael Goforth, Darla Brown, Tina Dixon, Mary Jones, James and Cheryl Williams, Leona McCreary, Paul and Jean Mahoney and a host of family and friends too large in number to name to celebrate her life.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Johnson, Rev. Claude Medlin and Rev. R.P. Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Gray Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, great-grandsons and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Saturday, Oct. 14 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
