Lizzie Perry Johnson

August 31, 1906 — December 15, 2004

Lizzie Perry Johnson, born August 31, 1906 in Knox County, Kentucky, went to be with Jesus on December 15, 2004 when she passed away at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Gray Pentecostal Church.
She was a daughter of Tom Perry and Lucety Tuttle Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. "Bill" Johnson; grandson Allen Johnson; granddaughter Denise Schatzman; eight brothers, John, Billy, Alex, Robert, Steve, Jeff, Woodrow and Jasper Perry; and by four sisters, Maggie Helton, Mary Middleton, Lissie Phipps and Effie Perry.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters: James Earl Johnson and wife Muriel Jones Johnson of Corbin; Sylvia Johnson Harmon, widow of Ed Harmon of Norwood, Ohio; Cova Johnson and wife Barbara of Nancy, Kentucky; and Wanda Johnson Wooten and husband Arville of Milford, Ohio; a sister, Cora Perry Foley of Corbin; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 pm Saturday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. R.P. Edwards and Bro. Gary Steely officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:30 pm Saturday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
