Lois Jean Stevens

Lois Jean Stevens, 82, of Corbin passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016. She was born July 13, 1934 to the late James and Oma Wells, and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Stevens.
Jean was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life, along with her canine companion Jack.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Beulah Brown of Florida; two daughters, Tracy (Terry) Swartz of London and Terry (Eddie) Hooks of Heiskell, TN; six grandchildren, Joshua Dick (Vanessa), Crissy Williams (Chris), Matthew Dick, Bradley Swartz, Rachel Wynne (Brett) and Ben Swartz (Sylissa); seven great grandchildren; her best friends, Lois Brock and June Swartz; brother-in-law, Richard Stevens (Trudy) and sister-in-law, Thelma Dirr (Terry) and various other family members who mourn her passing.
Jean's family will receive friends to celebrate her life from 6:00 until 9:00 pm Wednesday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held at 10:00 am Thursday at the funeral home with burial following at Corinth Cemetery.
