Lorene Sowder

Lorene Sowder, age 85, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009 in Corbin.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, James A. Sowder; Daughter, Peggy Lynn Sowder; Siblings, Shelby, Charlie, and Fred Bird; Effie Tormala, Clara Seward, and Mary Arnett.
She is survived by her Children; Patricia Sowder of Williamsburg, and Mike Sowder of Corbin; Five Grandchildren, John Sowder, Robert Sowder, Pam Beaumont, Patrick Sowder, and Brigette Sowder; four Great Grandchildren, Ethan, Jarod, and Parker Beaumont, and Paris Sowder; Siblings, Joe Bird, Ted Bird, and Yvonne Chavis of Detroit; Ray Bird of Oven Fork, KY, and Mildred Clem of Wallins Creek.
Visitation will be on Tuesday ,January 13, 2009, from 4pm until the time of the funeral service at 7pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be on Wednesday, January 14th, at 1pm at the New Creech Cemetery in Wallins Creek, Harlan County.
