Lori Jean Young

Lori Jean Young, age 48, of Corbin, KY, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on May 21, 1976, in Lexington, KY, to Harrison Smallwood and the late Gloria Clark. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Bonnie Hollins.

In addition to her father, Harrison, she is survived by her son, Andrew Young, and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 29th.

Burial will follow at Corn Creek Cemetery in Woodbine, KY.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations to assist with expenses. Donations can be made by phone, in person at the funeral home, or online using the Tribute Fund icon. Lori's family will receive a list of those who donate.
