Louise Brooks

Louise Brooks, age 81, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at home.
She was born on May 29, 1924 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Fred Payne and Bertha Robbins Payne. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Corbin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brooks Jr.; daughter, Phyllis Kay Brooks; three Brothers, Hobert, James H., and Millard Payne; three Sisters, Marie Saylor, Irene Saylor, and Angeline Hensley; a granddaughter, Kara Jo Ashley.
She is survived by her four children, Wayne Brooks and Wife Linda of Port Orange, FL; Joyce Ann Gambrel of Flat Lick, KY; Terry Brooks and wife Laura of Pekin, IN; and Jerry Brooks of Corbin; 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren; and one Brother Johnny Payne of Memphis, TN.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11am until 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Procession to the Rest Haven Cemetery for her Graveside Service will be 2pm on Tuesday, with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Pallbearers will be members of her family; honorary pallbearers are Dr. Bobby Turner and his staff.
