Lowell Edward Poore

Lowell E. Poor, age 85, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. Born in Rockholds, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jesse and Della Widener Poore. Lowell was of the Pentecostal faith and put God first in all aspects of his life. He had a passion for coaching basketball. Lowell loved his family and was a light in the life of many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Randall Poore. Lowell is survived by his loving wife, Wilma Jean Parker Poore; Daughters, Vickie McDaniel, Delisa Shaw, and Sheila Howington; Son, Eddie Poore; and by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will all mourn his passing.
Funeral Service for Lowell will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Corn Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2nd at the funeral home.
