Mae Robinson McCoy, 101, of Corbin, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005 at the Christian Health Center.
Born September 22, 1904 in Whitley County, she was the daughter of the late Will Mason and Josephine Smith Mason. Mae was a lifetime member of the Faber Baptist Church. She was a well-known cook for several local restaurants.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bonnie Robinson; her second husband, Bill McCoy; her son, Gene Robinson; three brothers; three sisters; two step-children, Pat Barnhill and Rufus McCoy; and a son-in-law, Leland Mayne.
She is survived by two sons, James Robinson and wife Edna Lou Robinson of Corbin and John Robinson and wife Margie of London; one daughter, Anna Belle Mayne of Rockholds; step-son, Paul McCoy and wife Opal of Corbin; one step-daughter-in-law, Frances McCoy of Keavy; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, Sarah Lowe and Wilma Elliott; and one nephew, R.L. Mason; and many other relatives and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Smith and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Faber. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Monday, Jan. 2, 2006 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
