Margie Turner, age 85, of Gray, KY, passed away at home on Monday, May 6, 2024.


Born in Middlesboro, KY, she was a daughter to the late Noah Standifer and Mary Lake Standifer. Margie was devoted to her faith and enjoyed attending New Hope Church of God. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She was talented at both and enjoyed sharing these gifts with her family and friends.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Turner; and siblings, Bill Standifer (Elsie), Benton Standifer, Maxwell Standifer (Virginia), Virginia Funk (Frank), and Bernice Murrell (Frank).


She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Turner (Cory); son, Jimmy Turner (Jeanette); grandchildren, Kendra Turner, Courtney Earls, and Nathan Earls; a brother, Mahonia "Homer" Standifer (Jerry); and by several great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Rodney Edwards officiating.


Burial will follow at Corn Creek Cemetery in Woodbine, KY.
