Maria Cristina Torres

Maria Cristina Torres, 62, of Lily, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at her home.
Born in Hamilton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alberto Torres and Doris Messinger Lingler. Maria had worked as a church secretary and also secretary at EKU.  She had been a member of Corbin Presbyterian Church, enjoyed photography and bowling, was a member of the U.S. Bowling Congress and the board of Gospel Jamboree, and volunteered at Corbin United Effort.
She is survived by her son Jason Torres and wife Rebecca; three grandchildren Richard Marion, Heaven Torres and Emma Torres; sisters Linda Caster, Kathy Hugo, Judy Sheard, and Debbie Mayes; and brother Bob Mayer.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, Feb. 21, followed by a Memorial Service at 7pm at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Boswell officiating.
