Mark Alan Henderlight, 44, of Corbin, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Corbin, Mark worked for the City of Corbin in the Park and Recreation Department. He had attended the Corbin Presbyterian Church, and was a former football player in the Corbin Schools. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed time on the lake.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Jo Henderlight; children, Tessa Slone, Devon Henderlight, Matt Sams, and Jay Sams; mother, Margaret D. Henderlight; sister, Shari Sevier; father, Phillip R. Henderlight; grandmother, Juanita Henderlight; cousin, Charles Wayne Miles; uncle and aunt, Barry and Alberta Irby; cousins, Kim & Ryan Fairchild and their children Ally and Dylan, and Billy and Kacie Irby and their daughter Bri; mother-in-law, Marsha Luke; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Faith Smallwood; niece and nephew, Madelyn and Toby Smallwood; special friend, Shirley Lewis; and aunts, Mary Calia, Janice Reid, and Susan Lovitt.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Sunday, January 18, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Lisa Eye officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 pm on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be special brothers John Bunch, Jason Denham, Jerry Denham, Andy Denham, Daniel Denham, Jeff Marlar, Jeff Lee, and Chris Ledington. Honorary pallbearers are former Redhound Football teammates.
