Mark Edward Shumate

Mark Edward Shumate, age 36, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2023, in Denver.

Born in Corbin, Kentucky, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Phyllis Shumate, Elisha Scott, and Carol Jackson, nephew, Tyler Huddleston, aunts, Margaret Neal and Crystal Norman, uncle, David Stevens, and by a cousin, Donald Shumate Jr.

Mark is survived by his mother, Angela Cleary and husband Mike, father, Glendell Shumate, sister, Rebecca Huddleston, daughters, Gabriella and Kali Shumate, aunts and uncles, Mary and Alva Robinson, Jason and Thelma Scott, Daniel and Kabren Stevens, and Donald Shumate, nephew, Gavin Walters, and cousins,  Eddie Shumate, Austin, Jacob, and Kaleb Scott.

Visitation will be from 11am - 12pm on Monday, February, 20, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 12noon, with Rev. Alva Robinson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Faber, KY.
