Martha Magdalene Cook

Martha M. Cook, age 81, passed away on June 21, 2008 in Lancaster, KY.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1926 in Hazard, KY, the daughter of the late George and Gracie Mae Head.
She served very faithfully with her husband of 55 years, Rev. George W. Cook, as they pastored churches in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky for the Church of God. A very talented musician and singer, she spent many years working with Ladies Ministries and World Missions.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George W. Cook; Daughter, Lois Marie Cook; three Brothers, Kenneth, Doyle, and Gene.
She is survived by two Sons, Rev. Jim Cook and wife Bobbie of Gray, KY; Gene Cook and wife Patty of Lancaster, KY; three Daughters, Brenda Dillon and husband Jess of Hendersonville, TN; Sandy Loudermilk and husband John of Shelbyville, KY, and Georgetta Smith and husband Glenn of Lancaster, KY; 17 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, and two Great Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday June 24, 2008 from 11am until 1pm at the Spurlin Funeral in Lancaster with funeral service at 1pm. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the charity of the donors choice.
