Mary Edith Jackson

Mary Edith Jackson, 74, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at her home in Corbin.
Born in Nancy, Kentucky, Mary was the daughter of the late Elick Hallmark and Mary Alta Beasley Hallmark. She was also preceded in death by her grandson Anthony Wayne Myers, granddaughter Tiffany Myers Byers; two brothers William Berlyn Combest, and James Ronald Hallmark; and sister Juanita Kasee.
Mary is survived by six children: Pamela J.( Dorsey) Burkett (Bruce) of Somerset, Rita G. Smith (Jerry) of Corbin, Mary Jean Nolan of Corbin, Thomas E. Myers (Tracy) of Corbin, James E. Myers of Corbin, and Paul D. Jackson, Jr. (Kayla) of Corbin; grandchildren: Tosha D. Martinez (Jeff), Brittany N. Dorsey Murphy (Jeff), Amanda K. Polly (Jimmy), Justin Collins (Kendra), Whitney Rae Myers (Kayla), Sean Nolan (Kayla), Samantha Dorsey Nelson (Hunter), Kristen A. Myers (Travis), Lauren Myers, Sterling Bree Burkett, Trinity Flynn Burkett, Britton, Tyler and Steele Burkett, Brandi Jones and Austin Ferguson, Hannah Parker and Derrick W. Smith;  sister Verna M. Hardwick;  great-grandchildren Bekli, Caleb, Kaylen, Hunter, Ariana, Tidus, Hayden, Kensyn, Averee and anticipating one unborn great-grandchildren; and her former husband and friend Paul D. Jackson.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin Collins, Johnnie Hollin, David Disney, Scott Johnson, Bruce Fox, Joe Wilson, Mickey Johnson, Carl Smith, Brandon Luke, and Brent Alsip.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 pm Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the funeral home.
