Mary Ethel Aurandt

Mary Ethel (Dugger) Aurandt passed away at her home in Southern Laurel County on August 1, 2023.

Mary was born on November 21, 1931, to Sarah Hale and Steve Dugger. Mary was the widow of Harold Aurandt.

Mary stayed active tending to her goats, gardening and quilting until two days before her death. Mary was a storyteller and loved to share old stories of the families and the history of the area. She was known by many as the Genealogy Lady and that was her passion. She will be missed by those of us that loved her and enjoyed the stories she shared.

A graveside service was held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at McHargue Cemetery in Laurel County, KY.
