Mary 'Orene' Prewitt

Mary "Orene" Prewitt, age 84, daughter of the late Alford amd Rutha Rains Morton, died peacefully at the Corbin Nursing Home on Friday, June 29, 2007.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Ova Prewitt.
Orene was a member of Steeles Chapel Christian Church in Corbin. For many years Orene and her husband were in business in California and Louisville.
She is survived by her Sisters, Audra Lawson and husband, Perry of Williamsburg, and Ethel Taylor of Clinton, TN; her very devoted Niece, Greta Rains and husband Larry of Corbin; Brothers-in-law, Ernie B. Prewitt of Corbin, Avis Prewitt of Oklahoma City, and Ned Prewitt of Louisville; Sisters-in-law, Dolly Sears of Corbin and Fonnie Lee Thomas of Louisiana.  She also leaves behind many wonderful neighbors, and a host of special Nieces and Nephews, also the wonderful caring Hospice group and the staff at the Corbin Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery in Corbin.
Visitation will be from 1-2pm on Sunday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
