Matthew Gene Siler

Matthew Gene Siler, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, May 14th, 2023, at Baptist Health Corbin. He was 52 years of age.

Matt was born October 1, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Dean R. and JoAnn Lawson Siler.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved anything to do with archery, hunting, fishing or the outdoors in general. His passions included anything to do with his kids, friends, animals, or nearly any sport; watching or playing. Golf and softball were his favorite to play. Most recently, he worked in the Archery department of Kentucky Outdoorsman, which he considered to be his most favorite job.

In addition to his parents, Matt is preceded in death by his grandparents; W. Howard and Helen “Grannie”Lawson and Kelley and Virginia Siler.

He is succeeded in death by one son; Andrew W. Siler (Jake Beckner) of London, Ky and daughter Chloe E. Siler, of Corbin, one brother; Guy R. Siler, and also many friends and relatives to mourn his passing.

Per Matt’s request, there will not be a service at this time. If you wish, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in his memory.
