Mayme May Baker

April 26, 1938 — March 16, 2005

Mayme M. Baker, 66, of Lily, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born April 26, 1938 in Spencer, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Ivory Dickson Arthur and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father Lloyd Lawson; brothers, Donnie Arthur, Ira "Bunk" Arthur and Bud Arthur; and a sister, Helen Williams.
She is survived by her husband John G. Baker, Sr.; son, John G. Baker, Jr. and wife Regina of Corbin; three grandchildren, Kevin Ray Baker, Jennifer Jo Baker and Ryan Michael Baker, all of Corbin; two sisters-in-law, Roberta Spurlock and Freda Hacker, both of Lily; brother-in-law, Thomas Baker Jr. of Lily; three sisters, Debbie Beck of Indianapolis, Indiana, Martha Hawkins of Houston, Florida and Dorothy Lawson of Bloomington, Indiana. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 20, 2005 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Wilmer Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 pm Saturday, March 19, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
