Melissa Kay Taylor

Melissa Kay Knuckles Taylor, age 51, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday November 30, 2023, at her home

Born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Donnie Knuckles and Belinda Ellen Hurd Knuckles. Melissa was a former waitress with the Root Beer Stand in Corbin and was an active volunteer at the Corbin Bingo Parlor.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Brian Taylor, children, Lashesta Taylor and Dylan Taylor, grandchildren, Riley Taylor, Baylon Thornberry, Ivy Thornberry and she was awaiting her fourth grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Michelle Loughran and her children, Caitlin Popp, Wyatt Loughran, brother, Jesse Knuckles (Kia), and children Brantley Knuckles, Lainey Knuckles, and Nolan Knuckles, sister, Denise Taylor Bargo (Johnny) and her children, Nathan Taylor, Cody Taylor, Brittany Powell, and Lena-Skye Bargo, and sister, Robin Ellery, brother-in-laws, Robbie Taylor and Richie Taylor, and by great nieces, Averee Garland and Haylee Hubbard.

Visitation for Melissa will be from 12-2pm on Tuesday December 5, 2023, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 2pm, with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.

Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens, in Lily, Kentucky.
