Mildred Marie Hamblen

Mildred Marie Hamblen, age 85, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2004 at her residence in Keavy, KY.
She was born on March 23, 1919 in Vox, Kentucky to the Late William Hale and Dora Karr Hale Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Level Green Baptist Church in Keavy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thaddeaus "Dick" Hamblen, and Infant Daughter, Peggy Jolene Hamblen; Three Brothers, Fred, Roy, and Omer Hale; Two Sisters, Maggie Cassidy and Ethel Brewer; and her Step-Father, Albert Smith.
She is survived by her Four Children, Wayne Hamblen and his wife Vickie of Florida, Carl Hamblen of Alabama, Rita Jones of Miss. and Debi O'Dea and her husband Bob of Illinois; Three Brothers, Warren, Harley, and Edward Hale; Three Sisters, Gladys Pall, Virginia Bowling, and Erphene Hale; 11 Grandchildren; Pam Horton and husband Tom, Sherry Lisle and husband Lonnie, Scott Hamblen and wife Donna, Kenny Hamblen and wife Darlene, Dolly Kennedy, David Hamblen, Andy Hamblen, Tonya McElfresh, Keith Jones and wife Dawn, Brad Moore, and Kyle O'Dea; Sixteen Great Grandchildren, Michelle Filipkowski and husband Dave, Brandy, Brian and Kari Horton, Wayne Lisle and wife Amberly, Dean Lisle and wife Melinda, Tony Lisle, Taylor Hamblen, Joe Hamblen and wife Tracy, Adam and Lucas Hamblen, Crystal and David McElfresh, Ashley, Ashton, and Leonna Jones. Nine Great Great Grandchildren, Emma and Chloe Filipkowski, Carter Horton, Hannah, Parker, Carsyn, and Brady Lisle, Whitney and Alex Hamblen.
Funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 27, 2004 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Brother Robert Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 6-9pm and on Sunday from 12noon until the time of the service at 2pm.
