Nick Payne

Nick Payne, age 65, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014, at his home in Corbin.
Born in Kenton County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Noble Payne and Mary Haggard Payne Ross. He was Baptist by faith and was the maintenance man for Christian Health Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Payne and Jerry Helton.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hulley Payne; children: Jason Payne and wife Luli, Colleen Campbell and husband David, and Mark Payne and wife Denise; step-mother, Velma Payne; grandchildren: William Robert Mayes, Nikki Mayes, Michael Mayes, David Mayes, Luke Payne, Matthew Payne, Autumn Payne, and Alex Payne; great-grandson, Little Man Peyton; sisters: Barbara Johnson and husband Foster, and Anna Thiess; brothers: Roger Payne, Mike Payne and wife Vickie, Ronnie Helton and wife Sherri, and James Payne; step-grandchildren: April Brooks, William Campbell, and Eric Campbell; and step-great-grandchildren: Dominic Campbell and Darren Campbell, and Lillian Hope Carr, all who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Thurman Mason officiating. Burial will be in the Barbourville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 29, and from 1-2 pm on Thursday, Jan. 30, at the funeral home.
