Nolan Bruner Jr., age 80, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Saturday July 30, 2022, at Baptist Health in Corbin. He was born child to the late Nolan and Sarah Bruner. Nolan grew up in Ohio and spent most of his life in Hamilton, OH. He graduated from Ross High School in 1960 before being drafted into the Marines in 1965. Nolan retired in 1999 after more than 30years of working for General Motors in Dayton, Ohio. Nolan enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and riding his motorcycle with friends and family. After returning from Vietnam, he obtained his private pilot license. He owned a 4-seater Cessna and had a great time traveling to short and long destinations. If you could survive the car ride to the airport, he was a great pilot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step grandson, Christopher John Michael Robinson and by a nephew, Chad Bruner. Nolan is survived by his wife, Tabitha Bruner, step children, Christopher Robinson and Ursula Davidson, ste grandchildren, Christopher, Riley, and Sophia, sisters, Trena Bruner (Robert VandenBerg), and Brenda Bruner, brother, Rick Bruner (Marcella), nieces and nephews, Tara Gates (Floyd), Nikki Windberry (Greg), Sarah Brittany Howard (Stephen), Amy Alsept (Jamie), great nieces and great nephews, Blake Nolan Baker, Kathryn Gates, Nicholas Gates, Reagan Gates, Nathan Gates, Jenna Lowe Meares, Michael Alsept, Allison Alsept, Ausitn Wibbels, and Nicholas Windberry, and by many relatives from the Bruner and Roberts families. Graveside service for Nolan Bruner Jr. will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday August 3, 2022, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY with military honors.
