Nora Phipps

Nora Phipps, 82, of Gray, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Pearlie Mills Hibbard; her husband, Will Junior Phipps; children, Carolyn and David Phipps; brothers, Ernest Eugene Helton, Ray Helton, and Walter Hibbard; sisters, Mollie Payne, Ressie Smith, and Henrietta Kohl.
She is survived by five children, Dallis Phipps of Gray, Orville "Tubby" Phipps and wife Barbara of Corbin, Dennis Phipps and wife Judy of Corbin, Cathy Brown and husband Preston of Bimble, and Daniel "Boone" Phipps of Gray; brother, Jess Helton and wife Alta of Gray; 12 grandchildren, Delilah, Denise, Heather, Will, Amanda, David, Steven, Hope, Preston, Misty, Renee and Rita; Great-Grandchildren, Patricia, Sheila, Travis, Blake, Kaylee, Adam, Jacob, Devan, Ashely, Abby, Ryan, Jathan, Braxton, Carly, and Isaiah; and three Great-Great-Grandchildren, Chelsea, Siler, and Haven.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 11, at the Rossland Holiness Church with Rev. Claude Medlin, Rev. Kenny Johnson, Rev. R.P. Edwards and Rev. Joe Kersey officiating.
Burial will be in the Phipps Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Hensley, Calvin Ball, Randall Rice, Calvin Collins, Mack Eldridge, Robby Skaggs, Preston Brown Jr., and Brandon.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Wednesday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home and after 7pm Thursday at the Rossland Holiness Church.
