Norman "Pete" Mccreary

February 26, 1957 — July 30, 2024

Norman "Pete" McCreary, age 67, of Gray, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at his home in Gray, Kentucky.


He was retired from CTA in Corbin; and loved to fish, hike, and ride motorcycles. Pete was very patriotic and loved sports, especially the UK Wildcats.


He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe McCreary, and by his brother, Michael McCreary.


Norman is survived by his son, Charles Blake McCreary; mother, Leona McCreary; grandsons, Logan and Nicholas; siblings, Roger McCreary and wife Judy, Juanita Elam, Randy McCreary and wife Tonya, Ronnie McCreary and wife Phyliss, and Lisa Warren and husband Darrell; girlfriend and companion, Rosenna Warren; and by several nieces, nephews, family, and friends, including special friend, Jerry Bowman.


Visitation for Pete McCreary will be held from 6-8pm on Sunday August 4, 2024, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral service will then be held at 2pm on Monday August 5th at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Rev. Charlie Humfleet and Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating.


Burial will follow in the Farris Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky.
