Onedia Hammons

Onedia Hammons, 88, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Corbin Nursing Home.
Born in Somerset, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Pearle Boyd Tomlinson. She was a homemaker and was baptized at the age of nineteen in the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Hammons, and a son-in-law Jerry Howard.
She is survived by two daughters, Joetta Harbin and husband Roy of Corbin, and Pauline Howard of Dunlap, Tennessee; mother-in-law Lucy Hammons of Corbin; four grandchildren, Mike Harbin and wife Joyce of Corbin, Richard Harbin of Orlando, Florida, Paul Howard and wife Jennifer of Dunlap, Tennessee, and David Howard of Dunlap, Tennessee; four great-grandchildren, Amanda Howard, Brandon Harbin, Daniel Howard and Chelcey Harbin.
Visitation for Onedia Hammons will be from 5-8pm Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Graveside services will be on Thursday at the convenience of the family in the Alva Memorial Gardens in Black Star, Kentucky.
