Opal Wyatt, age 87, of Gray, went to Heaven to join loved loves and friends on Monday, November 28, 2016.
Born in Knox County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Pearl Deaton Williams. She had worked as a telephone operator and was a member of Rossland Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie "Booge" Wyatt; sisters Lily Williams, Caroline Williams, and Corabelle Robinson; brother James Williams; father and mother-in-law John and Sylvia Wyatt; and by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her daughters Melissa Wyatt and Martha Kelly and husband Clarence; grandchildren Lonnie Jason Wyatt and fiancée Latecia Medlin, and Casey Andrew Kelly and wife Jineane; great-grandchildren Mason Medlin, Jayla Medlin, Harper Kelly, Falon Kelly and Lincoln Kelly; sister Jessie Binns and husband Eddie; brother Charles Williams and wife Brenda; and by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 1, at Rossland Holiness Church with Rev. Claude Medlin, Rev. Greg Medlin, and Rev. Stevie Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Gray Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home and from 12-2 PM on Thursday at Rossland Holiness Church.
