Orville Lee Shores

Orville Lee Shores, age 76, of Corbin, passed away peacefully at his home in Corbin, Kentucky on Friday July 2, 2021. He was retired from the City of Corbin, and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Born in London, Kentucky he was a son of the late Stanley Shores and Lillie Smith Shores. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Williams; granddaughter, Shaina Lynn Rapier; brothers, Vernon Shores, David Shores, Tim Shores, and James Marcum; and by a sister, Evelyn Shores. Orville is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Williams Shores; children, Tina Powell (Barney), Melissa Brown (Benny), Dora Shores, and Sheila Rapier; grandchildren, Ashley Alexander (Michael), Amber Rybolt, Heather Chapman (Steven), Brittany Collette (Lonnie), Chris Brown, Justin Brown, Ami Brittian (Tyler), Dillon Brown (Olivia), Brandon Rapier (Jasemin), Sabrina Rapier, and Tasha Rapier; great grandchildren, Rileigh, Bryson, Josiah, Makenzie, Gunner, Marley, Hayden, Aubri, Kiah, Elizabeth, and Lillian; brother, Charles Shores; sister, Dorothy Shores McDonald, daughter in law, Lois Williams; and by several nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation will be held from 6-9pm on Monday July 5, 2021 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday July 6th with Pastor Nathan Ledford officiating.
