Ova Eugene Martin

Ova "Buddy" Eugene Martin, 76, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at his home on Barton Mill Cutoff Road.
Born May 6, 1930, he was the son of the late Everett and Flora Taylor Martin. He owned and operated the Martin & Durham Garage for 30 years, and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Eunice Martin.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ella Faye Roaden Martin; two sons, Robert Eugene "Bobby" Martin and wife Terrie of Bowling Green and Jerry Glenn Martin of Corbin; three daughters, Brenda Eldridge and husband Danny of Norwood, Ohio, Caroly Ely and husband Roy of Corbin, and Jeannie Taylor of Corbin; two brothers, Harold Martin and wife Lorene of Cincinnati, Ohio and A.J. Martin and wife Renate of Corbin; three sisters, Wilma Young of Corbin, Joyce McKendrick and husband Charles of Williamsburg, and Doris Reeves and husband Jerry of Corbin; thirteen grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews as well as many other family members and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Puckett officiating. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
