Patricia Ann Dixon

Patricia Ann Dixon, 61, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at Baptist Health.
Born in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late Ray Proffitt and Nannie Mitchell Proffitt. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and had worked as a caregiver.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Monday; uncle and aunt, Starlin and Loraine Mitchell; uncle, Edgar Mitchell; uncle and aunt, Austin and Ethel Mitchell; niece, Jenny Monday; father-in-law, Johnny Saylor; and grandparents, Lizzie and George Mitchell.
She is survived by her son, Starlin Wayne Dixon and wife Natalie of Corbin; daughter, Tracy Dixon of Gary, Indiana; sister, Carolyn Proffitt Weilage and husband Don of Crestwood, Kentucky; brother, Kenneth Proffitt and wife Glenda of Corbin; grandchildren, Mikala, Kimberly, Starlin Jeremiah, Stephanie, Sylvester, Lamont, and Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Sherry Dixon Taylor; special mother-in-law, Ruth Dixon Johnson; nieces and nephews, Bethany, Aaron, Eric, Heather, and Kenneth Jr., all who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. John Laws and Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Terrell Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Proffitt Jr., James Sharpe, Denny Dixon Jr., Shannon Rose, Brandon Elliott, and Bret Dixon.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m Friday at the funeral home.
