Patricia (Pat) Lynn Nash, age 67, passed away peacefully at her home in Corbin, KY on September 27th, 2024. She went to be with her heavenly Father.
Patricia was the daughter of Bobbie Jean Poynter and Betty Lou Watson, both of whom predeceased her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Diane (DeDe) Eckert, and great-granddaughter Adrianna Anne Parker.
She is survived by Robert (Bobby) Eugene Nash, her husband of almost 50 years. One son, Bobby Shane Nash (Carrie) of Aubrey, Texas. One daughter, Janice Lynn Parker (Frankie) of Woodbine, KY. Five Grandchildren: Owen Shane Nash (Dennice) of Texas, Jessica Castillo (Julian) of Texas, Elizabeth Nash (Jason) of North Dakota, Timothy Wayne Parker (Daisy) of Lily, KY, and Christian Jade Parker of Woodbine, KY. Seven Great Grandchildren: Ivy and Ezekiel Castillo, Dalton Wayne and Dakota Lynn Parker, Kierah and Hunter Martin, and Ian Nash. One sister, Pamela Sanders of Jacksonville, FL. One brother, Dennis Poynter (Donna); and by several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Patricia was born on August 13th, 1957 in Michigan. She met the love of her life in Corbin and was married on January 4th, 1975. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her family and she loved animals especially her snakes Sheva, Kathrine, and Vincent. Along with her dogs Izzabell, Gizmo, Sandy, and Pepper.
She was very talented and creative, she designed and made costumes, dolls, crafts, and she was a seamstress. At the request of her daughter, she designed and made her daughter’s wedding dress.
Visitation for Patricia Nash will be from 12noon until 2 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at 2 pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Nash Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky. Serving as pall bearers will be Dennis Poynter, Bobby Nash, Douglas Gregory, Samir Farhat, Timothy Parker and Christian Parker.
