Patricia "Patsy" Brown Parlier

After happily celebrating her 69th birthday last Wednesday, her passing will be mourned this Wednesday. Patricia "Patsy" Brown Parlier passed away on Saturday November 14, 2015 at Baptist Health in Corbin after a sudden attack on Friday. Patricia was the daughter of Eugene and Peggy (Herron) Brown born on November 11, 1946 in Knoxville, TN.
Patricia grew up in Knoxville and was a 1965 graduate of Farragut High School. She attended Tennessee Wesleyan College, Athens, Tennessee, graduating in 1969. There she was a member of the Phi Mu sorority. Upon graduation, Patricia was an elementary teacher at Halls Elementary in Knoxville for ten years from 1970-1980. Patricia enjoyed crafting, especially decoupage. She also loved animals, especially her cats Toby and Bella.
Patsy was a member of the Corbin Presbyterian Church.
Patricia is survived by her Son, Kevin M. Giles of Corbin, step-daughter, Rebecca J. Cox of Sunbury, PA; Elmer Parlier of Corbin; Brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Mina Brown of Cullowhee, NC; Niece, Stephanie Browning and Nephews, Peyton Thomas Browning and Cory Brown all of Knoxville, TN
Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 18, 2015 from 4pm until the time of services at 6pm at the Corbin Presbyterian Church, 601 Master Street, Corbin; with Rev. Lisa Eye and Dr. John Burkhart officiating. Burial will be in Knoxville, TN at the family's convenience.
Floral arrangements sent to honor Patsy are very much appreciated. For those who might wish an alternate expression of sympathy, memorial gifts to honor Patsy are suggested to either St. John's Episcopal Church or the Corbin Presbyterian Church.
