Paul James Stewart

Paul James Stewart, age 76, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Manchester, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Tom Stewart and Delphya Goin Simmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Fred Stewart; his brothers, Sam and Grover Stewart; and sister, Betty Jane Beene. He is survived by children, Donald Stewart, Sharon Strunk, Theresa Barker, Bobby Strunk, Theresa Goonawardena, Sage Goonawardena and Austin Goonawardena; former wife, Lillian A. Wells; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Baker and Maryetta Beene; and brother, Ted Stewart, all who mourn his passing. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at the Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. There will be no visitation.
