Pearl Mills, age 79, of Corbin, passed away on Thursday July 28, 2011 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was a retired cook from the former Quality Inn in Corbin and was preceded in death by her Daughter, Virginia Sampson; Parents, Frank and Eliza Petty; Brother, Walter Jackson, Woodrow Petty and Frank Petty Jr.; Great Grandson, Benjamin Sampson; and by a close niece, Kimberly Tucker. She is survived by her Husband, Challis Mills; Children, Kathleen Walker; Kenneth Smith and wife Judy; Rita Mooneyham; Earl Sampson and wife Helen; Sherri Rose and husband Tim; Sister, Mary Marshall; 13 Grandchldren; Karon, Sharon, and Pamela Walker; Brandon, Jay, and Amanda Smith; Gerald Helton; Brian Sampson; Christy Mills, Rachel Cox, Mark Sampson, Alicia Kerr, and Justin Rose; 18 Great Grandchildren, Two Great Great Grandchildren; Close Nephew and Niece, Earl Abner and Jessie Wagnor. Visitation will be on Saturday July 30, 2011 from 12noon until the time of her funeral service at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin.
