Pearlie B. Scimia

Pearlie B. Woods Scimia, age 66, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born in Kentucky, she had worked in the textile industry and attended Faithway Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Woods; her parents, Willie Ad Moore and Elizabeth Durham Moore; brothers and sisters, Johnny Bill Moore, Richard Moore, Dixie Cox, Jean Brown and Lillie Mae Carter; and daughter-in-law, Bridgette Woods.
She is survived by seven children, Teresa Jones, Willis Woods Jr. and wife Geanine, Tracy Woods, Kenneth Woods and wife Tonya, Tonya Weddle and husband Mike, Michelle Walker and husband John, and Angela Woods; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Wade, Julia Ann Alsip, and Lola Moore; former husband, Papaw Dal; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends, including special friend Shirley McIntyre.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, April 16, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Medlin and Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Woods Cemetery at Gray.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday, April 15, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
