Phyllis Elaine Schlemmer

Phyllis Elaine Paul Schlemmer, 60, of Corbin passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Lexington. She was born in Corbin, a daughter of Arvill L. and Mildred Morgan Paul.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arvill Paul and her granddaughter, Emily Rose Farley. Her grandparents were Joseph A. and Mona Morgan, and Robert and Samantha Paul all of Woodbine.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Mike Schlemmer, her daughter, Andrea Branigan, and her son, Michael Paul, all of Corbin. She is also survived by her mother, Mildred Paul of Corbin; her sister, Karen Shanks of Lutz, FL; nieces Stephanie and husband Brad Hindersman and their children Sidney and Abbie, and Heather and husband Eddie Carvallo and their children Samantha and Andrew, all of Florida. A brother-in-law Joseph Schlemmer and his wife Linda of Georgia also survive. In addition, she leaves several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Phyllis was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, July 21 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral service will follow at 2:00pm Tuesday with Rev. Benny Bush and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the McFarland Cemetery at Cedar Gap.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
