Prudy Cannon Stivers of Corbin passed away Friday, November 15, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Hazard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late J. O. and Drucilla Faulkner Cannon and sister of the late James D. Cannon.
Prudy was employed by Travel Time in London, Ky. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Corbin, the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class, and Preceptor Alpha Alpha Sorority of Beta Sigma Phi.
She united in marriage with Randall A. Stivers, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three children: Larry Stivers of Lexington, Robbi (Cathy) Stivers of Knoxville, TN, and Kathy Stivers Lind of Lexington; a brother Bill Ed (Rose) Cannon of Wildwood, FL; sister-in-law Carol Cannon of Richmond; grandchildren Zachary and Mason Stivers of Knoxville and Randi Lind of Lexington; Randall's mother Marcheta Stivers and his sister Theadis Damewood of Plano, Texas; and a host of other family and many friends who mourn her passing.
A celebration of Prudy's life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Corbin with Rev. Tim Thompson and Rev. Ric Holladay officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
