Rachel Denise Newell

Rachel Denise Newell, 38, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Oak Tree Hospital.
Rachel was born in Chicago, Illinois and was Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Monnis Helton; and niece, Katrina Newell.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia Newell of Corbin; father, Charles Newell of Lakeland, Florida; brothers, Charles Newell and Johnny Newell, both of Lakeland, Florida, and Phillip Newell and wife Missy of Chicago; grandmother, Dexter Helton of Woodbine; special nephew, Johnny Newell Jr. of Lakeland, Florida; eight very special nieces; and two nephews; and numerous other family members and friends who mourn her passing.
A special thanks goes to all the doctors and nurses at Baptist Regional Medical Center and Oak Tree Hospital for their help and kindness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. A.J. Barton officiating. Burial will follow in the Perkins Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
