Rae M. Mcpherson

Rae M. McPherson, 78, of Mt. Washington and formerly of Corbin, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005 at the Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin.
Born May 23, 1926 in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late E.L. Gambrell and Georgia Myrtle Williams Gambrell. She was a retired E.R. nurse with the Corbin hospital and the old Smith Hospital in Corbin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, Lavada Hargrave and Carolyn Hargrave; her husband, Herschel Lee McPherson; grandson, Kerry McPherson; two brothers, E.L. Gambrell Jr. and Roy Gambrell; and a sister, Mildred Morgan.
She is survived by two sons, Roger McPherson and Gene McPherson, both of Mt. Washington, KY; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters, Alley Campbell of Williamsburg, Georgia Sokolinski of Corbin, Claude Gambrell of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Hazel Roche of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Rae McPherson will be held at 2 pm Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at the funeral home.
