Ray Hungerbuhler, 82, of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Midway, Pennsylvania, Ray was the son of the late Alfred and Ruth Marie Noble Hungerbuhler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Karl.
He had been the coal washing facility maintenance supervisor and had worked for both U.S. Steel Corp. and Arch Mineral. He was a member of Hugh Harris Masonic Lodge #938 F&AM, and a member of Oleika Shrine Temple. In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He dearly loved spending time with his family and all children. Ray was a member of Grace on the Hill United Methodist Church in Corbin.
He is survived by his wife Belva Foster Hungerbuhler of Corbin; son Dr. Ron Hungerbuhler and wife Jenny of Corbin; daughter Linda Push and husband Steve of Glen Allen, Virginia; grandchildren Erik Hungerbuhler and wife Sarah and their daughter Anabelle of Lexington, Rachel West and husband Brandon of Beijing, China, and Michael Push of Owensboro.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Thompson and Rev. Weyman McGuire officiating. Entombment will be in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2:00 P.M. on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grace on the Hill Food Pantry or the Rotary Club Empty Stocking Fund.
