Ray Wilson Rees

Ray Wilson Rees, age 85, of Louisville passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at his home.
He was born in Corbin, Kentucky, and was the husband of 60 years to Helen Sasser Rees. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army. He also worked as a conductor for CSX, and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Corbin.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Easom Terrell and Dora Moore Rees; and by three sisters and seven brothers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Barry Rees and wife Della; Grandson, Jeffrey Rees and wife Dana; Granddaughter, Jessica Dinsmore and husband Tyler; Great-Granddaughter, Lily Catherine Dinsmore; and Sister, Ruth Salmons.
Funeral service for Ray Rees, will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Moore and Paul Gambrel officiating. Burial will follow at Hart Cemetery on Moore Hill with military honors provided by American Legion Post #88.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 pm on Monday, December 2nd at the funeral home.
