Raymond Lester Brown

Raymond L. Brown, age 93, of Lily, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2008 at home.
He was born in Knox County, Kentucky ,to the late John Quincy and Odie E. Carter Brown; and he was a retired Coal Miner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Ethel Rose Brown; Son, Robert Edward Brown; Daughter, Margie Eulene Hale; Brother Steeley Carter.
He is survived by his Children: Six Sons, Kenneth Brown and wife Juanita of Crittenden, KY; Cecil Ray Brown and wife Libby of Corbin; Raymond Lester Brown Jr and wife Carol of Taylor, MI; Roger Lee Brown and wife Rita, Johnny Lorne Brown and wife Angelia and Tommy Alex Brown all of Lily; Six Daughters: Adeline Lucille Brown of Rochester, WA; Betty Broughton and husband Norman of Shepherdsville, KY; Brenda Hartell and husband Gary of Louisville; Merele B. Wilson and husband Arlo of Harrison, OH; Trudy Held of Cincinnati, and Linda Hill of Lily; 28 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2008, from at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin.
Visitation will be on October 7th from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
